Supreme Self (1000)

TPrinthe title song on SUPREME SELF by RAMAJI UNITY is “Supreme Self (1000).”

The lyrics are a nimble summary of the revolutionary teachings and map of spiritual awakening found in Ramaji’s new book 1000. Ramaji from Ramaji.org talks about the levels of enlightenment and how they are different from each other. The numbers in the lyrics refer to LOCs or Levels of Consciousness.

The first enlightened LOC level is the 600s. The others are the 700s, 800s and 900s, culminating in the top state of LOC 1000 (the Self, the Absolute, sahaja).

Please listen through headphones or quality speakers and SING ALONG!

LOC 1000 corresponds to realizing the Absolute or Supreme Self, the title of this album by RAMAJI UNITY. The LOC of the advanced spiritual seeker who is ready for the leap into enlightenment is typically in the 580s. Serious interest in non-duality and enlightenment first arises in the 560s and 570s.

Enlighten

Supreme Self Ramaji Unity“Enlighten” is the sparkling gem of sacred spiritual passion on the SUPREME SELF digital album that is free on this website. Since it ties into the major breakthrough book 1000 by Ramaji, “Supreme Self (1000)” is the “theme song” or concept music of the RAMAJI UNITY musical project. But “Enlighten” is its heart and soul. The heart-felt fiery burning of deep earnest yearning to attain enlightenment and oneness with God in THIS lifetime has rarely been so intensely and exquisitely expressed.

The voice of Kellian Cross reaches peaks of spiritual and emotional intensity that are enough to bring shivers to the spine or tears to the eyes… or both. “Enlighten” is the silent prayer on each sincere seeker’s lips. Its living longing is ecstasy for the aspirant’s ears. The “sacred fire” referred to in the Bridge is Kundalini. In the Bridge the message is a mantra: “I Aspire to ONE [Great] Desire.”

A young man came to Sri Ramana Maharshi. He was worried that his desire for the girl next door would keep him from enlightenment. Ramana replied “Your desire is too small. The only problem with desire is when it is small. Make it big. Make your desire a total all-consuming desire to realize the Self.”

In essence, that is also the humble message of “Enlighten.” May it stoke the fire of spiritual desire to attain the Self in this lifetime so that it burns bright and high all the way to the Crown… and beyond, to the Sacred Heart on the right (Hridayam)!

Everything Is God

Supreme Self Ramaji Unity“Everything Is God” conveys the joy-filled emotional essence of realizing the Heart, your True Self. The natural happiness, peace and love that is your heritage as a human being is awakened. Although names of God like Buddha and Shiva are used in the song, it is boldly declared in the Chorus “I am God!” This is in the context that everything is God!

This view is “all is God and God is all.” In short, there is ONLY God. The Chorus does not hold back. You are the One. Controversial as it may sound, you, in your Essence, are G-O-D. This is the deliriously delightful conclusion to the great Quest for the ultimate answer to “Who Am I?”

Please listen through headphones or quality speakers and SING ALONG!

Such a total view of unqualified unity is outrageously saturated by the pure joy of divine Being. If you are a devotee of Lord Shiva, this music can be a devotional anthem for you, but please do not think it is merely devotional. The mantra “Om Namah Shivaya” (OM-Nah-Mah-Shee-Veye-Yuh) is meant to convey the same unbounded feeling state of transcendental abundance. It is a prayer and also an empowerment. In your True Self, you literally are THAT. As you listen to this song, keep in mind that the Sanskrit word “Shiva” means “good, beneficial, auspicious.” So when you say “Shiva,” you refer to the very essence of all that is true, beautiful and desirable in life. Shiva refers to the supreme good, whatever the name you may give it. Like the other songs on SUPREME SELF by RAMAJI UNITY, this song transmits an elevated non-dual frequency that will help you to stay on a positive celebratory spiritual track all day long.

Feel the Love

Supreme Self Ramaji UnityThe song “Feel the Love” conveys the celebratory spirit and joyful state of being that Ramaji  from Ramaji.org would like listeners to experience and enjoy. Like the other songs on SUPREME SELF, “Feel the Love” is transmitting a high frequency of non-dual awakening.

The lyrics are simple for a reason. Our society avoids feeling deeply and completely. The cost of this ignorant habit is enormous both individually and collectively. Though presented as a dance tune with a driving beat, “Feel the Love” invites you as an enlightened listener to FEEL THE LOVE right now!

Please listen through headphones or quality speakers and SING ALONG!

This universal love is here. This universal love is everywhere. Yes, love is in the air and you can feel it right here and now IF you are willing to face your fears and embrace a state of open unblocked feeling with your total being.

Breathe in deep to your heart, especially through your back between your shoulder blades. Breathe in… receive the love… FEEL the love!

I Am Ecstasy (Amrita Nadi)

Supreme Self Ramaji Unity“I Am Ecstasy (Amrita Nadi)” is an extraordinary song with an extraordinary message. The exotically contemplative lyrics hide a multitude of mystical insights in their poetic, if not cryptic, phrases. For example, what is the “midnight kiss”? Here is a hint: For the sage, the day of the average person is his night, and vice versa. The secret Spiritual Sun shines at midnight, the sacred high noon of world transcendence.

The real star of this song is Amrita Nadi, the spiritual channel associated with immortality. It is related to realizing the Self or enlightenment. Also known as “aham sphurana,” this spontaneous arising of Amrita Nadi presages the appearance of the Self, the Heart, in its full Glory. Although the experience varies from one person to the next, it can be one of supreme ecstasy as described in the lyrics of this song. Amrita Nadi is not a fantasy. It was described in detail by Sri Ramana Maharshi.

Ramaji talks about it extensively in 1000, his massive eminently readable 750 page guide to the levels of consciousness and stages of awakening. Amrita Nadi connects the Heart on the right, located just to the right of center in the chest, with the Crown chakra at the top of the head. This esoteric pathway’s most valuable role is to expose the little-known hidden route of the ego I-thought to the brain from the Heart. After it makes that fateful journey to the brain, the full onslaught of the mind is felt. Suffering is soon to follow.

Instead, why not choose the path of Amrita Nadi, the high road to the Self and enjoy the overwhelmingly self-evident truth that “I Am Ecstasy.” You Are That!

I Am That I Am

Supreme Self Ramaji Unity“I Am That I Am” is a change of pace. Against an “in your face” brick wall of bare piano and drums, you feast on an intimate poetic recital of the ways that your “I AM” is at one with the universal “I AM.” So this song sounds a more serious contemplative note.

As you listen, it dawns on you, as Ramana Maharshi said, “Your duty is to be and not to be this or that. ‘I am that I am’ sums up the whole truth. The method is summed up in the words ‘Be still.'” The phrase “I Am That I Am” is found in the Bible as God’s answer to Moses when he asked what God’s name is.

Please listen through headphones or quality speakers and SING ALONG!

“Soham” (SO-HUM) means “I Am He” or “I Am That.” Tat Tvam Asi (TOT TWAM AH-SEE) means “Thou Are That” or “You Are That” (meaning You Are IT).

Maharshi goes on to say “What does stillness mean? It means destroy yourself. Because any form or shape is the cause for trouble. Give up the notion that ‘I am so and so’. All that is required to realize the Self is to be still. What can be easier than that?”

This may seem like a tall order or a big claim, but in your day to day experience, in the reports of your aliveness and your senses, what do you feel is actually going on? Do you really feel SEPARATE from all of this? If you were truly and utterly separate from it, how could you even experience it in the first place?

Not only that, who comes first? YOU… or the world? Without your Feeling of Being, without your Sense of I Am, could anything else possibly exist for you? The Answer is NO.

You, Your Being, Your I Am, must come first for you before anything else can manifest. It is not too big a stretch to go from there to the understanding and experience of “I Am That” and “I Am That I Am.”

Like the other songs on SUPREME SELF by RAMAJI UNITY, this song communicates a level of consciousness that conveys unity, oneness and  non-duality. Everything in life is included in this primordial perfect wholeness that Ramana calls the Self.

Infinite

Supreme Self Ramaji Unity“Infinite” is a deceptively short and simple song about a very great and impressive reality: the Universal I, also known as Shiva Consciousness. Ramana Maharshi was known to call the one true Self “I-I” (meaning the Universal I that is All). That “I-I” of Ramana is referred to specifically in this song as well as implying, in a playful joyful way, that this Universal I is like a song being sung everywhere so that it echoes throughout the universe.

Each of the verses, bridges and breaks conveys unique and interesting features and facets of this Universal I which is the true Self that you are. As Kellian sings in the final Chorus, “I am my real true I.” The message is that you are this real true INFINITE I already. You can realize it and live it because you already are it. The message of “Infinite” is that there is one Universal I — and you are IT!

Therefore, a spiritual rapture, even an explosion of holy excitement, is conveyed by the edgy musical dynamic and fast-paced lyrics. This is a Celebration, friends, a Celebration of the SELF. Yes, it is true, as the words of the musical Bridge proclaim, “Universal I-I-I-I Is My I -Your I!”

Somehow it can be both and it can be universal at the same time. Wonderful! You are the “Big Blue Sky” and so much more. Be vast. Be open. Be free. Be your Self. You will go beyond “me and you” to become the “I” of both of us.

Ishvara Pranidhana

Supreme Self Ramaji Unity“Ishvara Pranidhana” is one of the five self-disciplines in the second limb of yoga (niyama). It means “total surrender to God.” If you do yoga, you may be aware of this yoga teaching.

In Sutra 2 Verse 45 of Patanajali’s Yoga Sutras, Patanjali states that the practice of Ishvara Pranidhana leads to ego dissolution, release from the burden of doership, samadhi and enlightenment. In Samkhya Yoga, Mother Nature’s Power is called Prakriti (Pra-Kree-Tee).

Please listen through headphones or quality speakers and SING ALONG!

Ishvara Pranidhana (“Ish-Wa-Ra Pra-Nee-Dah-Nuh”) resonates with the teachings of Ramesh Balsekar, Ramaji’s guru. Ramesh taught inquiry into the delusion of doership. Chapter Three, Verse 27 of the Bhagavad Gita says that Prakriti (the Gunas or Mother Nature) is the Doer. Like the other songs on SUPREME SELF by RAMAJI UNITY, this song communicates an uplifting enlightened frequency.

“ISHVARA PRANIDHANA” LYRICS BY RAMAJI

VERSE ONE:

Letting go, a flowing stream,
I hear your laughter in a dream,
Resistance gone, the sweetest cream,
My Heart is glowing with sunbeams.

I Am Infinity
Soon I Will Be Free
A Wave On the Cosmic Sea

Wide Open As the Sky
Laughing Through the Tears I Cry
I Am Soul, I Never Die
God Is My — NATURAL HIGH!

On my knees I’ve prayed before,
My yoga open cosmic doors,
Breathing in Her sacred force,
Kundalini kiss my core.

Release inside the holy touch,
Waterfall of bliss too much.
Earth below, the sky above,
The inner light, the rain of love.

CHORUS

VERSE THREE:

At the sacred Crown of Light,
Night is day and day is night,
The world dissolves before my eyes,

My body is God’s puppet doll.

No Me Now

Supreme Self Ramaji Unity“No Me Now” expresses the joy and wonder of spiritual enlightenment. One of the markers of stabilization in genuine non-dual awakening is non-doership. The song expresses the exultation and the feeling of freedom that may accompany this spiritual state. There is a feeling of living spontaneously with “no brakes” as the lyrics say. The new sage is in a continuous state of total let go as he asserts “Flowing, I play.”

This every day and moment to moment experience of the realized sage is best described by Lord Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita: “God or Nature is doing everything. The one who knows this truth observes in walking, talking, eating, grasping, etc. that he is not the doer. He says to himself ‘It is true! I do not do anything at all!'”

Like the other songs on SUPREME SELF by RAMAJI UNITY, “No Me Now” communicates an enlightened level of consciousness.  This song is unique because it focuses on the unique liberating spiritual event of the disappearance of the empirical ego or decider-doer self. While the resulting state of non-doership is not the be all and end all of Self-realization, it is a critical marker of enlightenment and there will not be Self-realization without it. Ramaji goes so far as to say that “If you are not stabilized in non-doership, then you are not stabilized in enlightenment. You do not have to take my word for it. Krishna says this. Ramana confirms it.”
